		<description>Hi Rose,

I recently went on an Army Educator's Tour of Fort Jackson, S.C. While having lunch in the mess hall one day I had the pleasure of meeting your son, Edward. My group and I were so excited that we actually had the opportunity to meet someone from our home town. Later Jim Flurry informed me that you worked for the Appeal Democrat. I just wanted you to know what a great young man, and solider you raised. This tour was so educational and fun for our group and meeting Edward was the "cherry on top". I also agree, no way a mother could be as mean as a drill sergeant; but like a mother they do an exceptional job with our future soliders. I have lots of pictures of Ed and the basic training confidence course. Let me know where to email them so you can see your son during his basic training.
