My kids are pretty creative, and they make a lot of things. We have doll furniture made from wood scraps and doll clothes made from old dresses found in the rag bag. I don’t buy much in the way of craft supplies, except for some basics such as glue, paint, and paper. The kids just sort of come up with craft projects using things we have on hand.
Still, I like to look through craft catalogs. Sometimes I get ideas for things we can make. Sometimes I get a case of the giggles.
This weekend, I was looking through a catalog and came across a great craft accessory–paper tubes, only $4.99 for a dozen, made from recycled paper. Umm, yeah, they were toilet paper tubes (minus the toilet paper). We use a lot of toilet paper around here, and many of our tubes get repurposed as telescopes and other useful objects. I never thought of saving them up and selling them, though.
In the interest of being competetive, I’m willing to sell our toilet paper tubes for the bargain price of only $4 for a dozen. Come on, all you craft lovers, call me. I also have egg cartons, dryer lint, and bread bags I’m willing to part with for a nominal fee.
Great idea - great for getting the kids involved too.
