Looks like the Senate has nothing better to do than sit around and come up with a plan to delay the switch to digital television. They are afraid that 6 million Americans might end up with no television service if the switch occurs in February as planned.
By now, I cannot imagine that there is even one person in this country that doesn’t know that televion signals are going to go from analog to digital. If you have a television, newspaper, radio, computer or neighbor, I’m guessing you’ve had the opportunity to get the info. So, if you haven’t figured out what you are going to do, maybe, just maybe, you should lose all your television privileges anyway.
The big problem is that there is a waiting list for the coupons for converter boxes. So what? If you waited, and you truly can’t afford the $40 it will cost for a box, maybe you should turn off the television and get a job to pay for it.
Life will not end if we don’t have television, folks!
Of course, it is nice to see that our dear senators have nothing more pressing on their agenda.
I keep thinking the same thing. I want to know when watching TV became an inalienable right- Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of American Idol?
I love it! If only the founding fathers could have looked ahead to this day, I think they would’ve put in such a provision.
So true! I don’t get what the big deal is!
